| 1. What is Illinois Student Vote? |
1.1 Illinois Student Vote provides an exciting opportunity for schools and classrooms to participate in the Illinois electoral process.
1.2 Once a teacher or school has registered they will be able to download age appropriate curriculum to use in the classroom.
1.3 Classrooms and schools will also be able to participate in a mock election for Presidential, Senate and Congressional candidates and the Illinois Constitutional Convention referendum.
1.4 Schools/teachers must submit votes by 10/30/2008.

| 2. How can I participate in Illinois Student Vote? |
2.1 To participate in the Illinois Student Vote project teachers must register their classrooms at
http://illinoisstudentvote.org/league_signup.asp
2.2 Users must fill out all the information marked with asterisks.
2.3 If a registrant forgets his/her login information they can email the administrator at info@IllinoisStudentVote.org

| 3. I’ve registered my school/classroom what do I do next? |
3.1 Use your registered login name (your email address) and password at http://www.illinoisstudentvote.org/Login.asp
3.2 Once you are logged in, you can view and download the curriculum, participate in the voting process and view the election results.
3.3 If a registrant forgets his/her login information they can email the administrator at info@IllinoisStudentVote.org

| 4. What is ‘Vote Your Choice’? |
4.1 Students across the state of Illinois will be able to vote on Presidential, Senate and Congressional candidates, and the Illinois Constitutional Convention referendum. The list of candidates and the Illinois Constitutional Convention referendum will be emailed to teachers in early September.

5. How do I submit the results of the election conducted in our school? |
5.1 Use your login name (your email address) and password at http://www.illinoisstudentvote.org/post_votes.asp
5.2 If a registrant forgets his/her login information they can email the administrator at info@IllinoisStudentVote.org
5.3 Enter the votes for the candidates using the appropriate age column. Presidential candidates, Senate candidates and the Constitutional Convention question will appear on the first page. Congressional candidates will appear on the second page.
5.4 To access the Congressional candidates click on the red button in the upper right hand corner marked, 'Click to submit US House Votes.'
5.5 Once you have reviewed your information carefully, click Submit.
5.6 Note, once you click Submit, you cannot change the entries you posted. Please review the information before you click, 'Submit.'

6. I made a mistake while inputting my classroom votes. Can I modify the votes I submitted?
|
6.1 No. You cannot modify the information once it is submitted.
6.2 We highly recommend you review the information before you click, 'Submit'

7. How can I view the election results?
7.1 Click on the, 'View Election Results' button.
7.2 For detailed information download the Excel list that appears at the bottom of the voting page.
7.3 Votes can be submitted until 10/30/2008.
8. How can students participate in Illinois Student Vote outside of the classroom?
8.1 Students can post comments using the Blog feature. Here students can discuss issues, policies, candidates, campaigns and other topics relevant to the election.

9. How can I post my comments in the Blog?
9.1 Go to http://www.illinoisstudentvote.org/blog.asp
9.2 To post a blog, enter your name, subject title and your comments.
9.3 Once finished click on the, “Submit” button.
9.4 Blog posts may be removed at the discretion of the administrator.

10. How to view the blog I posted?
10.1 All posted blogs can be seen at http://illinoisstudentvote.org/blog.asp
10.2 If you don’t see your post, use 'Next' or 'Prev' buttons to go to other pages to view them.

11. What else can students do to participate in the Illinois Student Vote project?
11.1 Students can submit pictures and video to the website administrator. These pictures and videos can show classrooms projects, student debates, mock election voting and any other items relevant to the electoral process.
11.2 Items chosen by the administrator for public download are made available here.
11.3 You may click on the item to download and view.

12. I want to submit some pictures or video, how do I do that?
12.1 Email your pictures/videos to the administrator at info@IllinoisStudentVote.org

13. When I click on some of the menu buttons, I always see the login page. Why?
13.1 You must be a registered user to download curriculum and submit votes.
13.2 To access this information you need to use your login name (your email address) and password.
