The League of Women Voters is entering its 90th year as a grassroots, nonpartisan, civic organization dedicated to increasing voter awareness, education and participation. The League of Women Voters of Illinois Education Fund (LWVILEF) has a long history of community involvement and leadership, particularly in the areas of nonpartisan election activities like sponsoring candidate debates and town hall meetings on important public issues as well as running mock elections in elementary and high schools.

Illinois Student Vote gives students the chance to participate in a mock election which mirrors the real process. LWVILEF, with grants from the McCormick Foundation, has sponsored student mock elections for twenty years.
